Baines, made for Pacharán lovers
Licor, a wide range of opportunities
If you say you don't like liquor, forgive us, but we don't believe you. It's not that we want to offend you, but the truth is that it's really impossible that you don't think you're touching the sky when you try one of them. Why do we say this? For a simple explanation: there are thousands of types of liqueurs spread all over the world. Sweets like cream of pomace, aniseed like pacharán, stronger like absinthe or herb liqueur, fruity like strawberry liqueur... Yes, you could say that there is a liqueur for every person on the planet.
Composition of the liqueur
Generally, liqueurs can be composed of a single herb, where the flavor and aroma of the same stands out; by a fruit, happening the same as in the previous one; or by a mixture of herbs and fruits where the final aftertaste is a range of nuances of the components.
As for the method of making liqueurs, there are also two main processes, although it is true that there are others that also end with the birth of a liquor. The first of these consists of distilling all the ingredients together, both the base and the herbs or fruits, sweetening the distillate at the end and in some cases giving it colour. The second method is based on adding the herbs or fruits to the base distillation, in such a way that the main characteristics of the ingredients are better preserved.
As for the varieties of liqueurs that exist, as we said at the beginning are infinite, so since I put the ice we have made a selection of those that make us happiest:
- Absinthe
- Cachaça
- Calvados
- Cream
- Grappa
- Limoncello
- Fruit liqueur
- Orujo
- Pacharán
- Pisco
- Sake
- Non-alcoholic

Brands of liquors
And if the varieties of liqueurs are infinite, the brands that make those liqueurs are even broader. Creators of flavors that have made and make live a constant party to our taste buds, in Yo pongo el hielo we wanted to collect those brands that more pleasure have caused us and that you can not spend without tasting their products:

History of liqueurs
Medicine was the main responsible for the fact that nowadays we can enjoy the different flavors that liquors give us. It was in the Middle Ages when Benedictine monks, physicists and alchemists began to mix medicinal herbs to create concoctions that cured the evils of the population, although they were also used for love potions or aphrodisiacs.
On the other hand, it is also true that thousands of years ago our ancestors already "played" with plants to create medicinal recipes, without even intuiting that their knowledge would be used centuries later to brighten the lives of mortals and entertain meetings between friends and family around a table.
