Xicala Mezcal

Xicala Mezcal is the colourful essence and living culture of Oaxaca, Mexico. It is handcrafted from 100% Agave Espadín grown in the Tlacolula Valley. Its toasting process is carried out in ovens lined with volcanic stone and with a natural fermentation and double distillation, which guarantees the purity of its three varieties. Xicala Añejo and Reposado are matured in American and French Limousin oak barrels, which gives them a unique and deep flavour. The Tlacolula Distillery was the first producer to obtain and comply with the “Mexican Official Norm for the production of Mezcal”, which guarantees the quality of the Mezcal. In each bottle of Xicala, you will also find a unique piece of hand-carved and hand-painted wood craftsmanship, representing mythical creatures, native to the Oaxacan culture.
