Bodegas Dios Baco

History

Founded in 1848, the bodega began its journey in the wine market with great success, which aroused the interest of the Rumasa group, which acquired it until it passed into the hands of the multinational sherry company John Harvey & Sons Ltd.

In 1992 and up to the present day, the company has worked under the management of the owner Don José Páez Morilla, who created "Bodegas Dios Baco" with the firm idea of entering the difficult world of sherry wines.

His catalogue includes a wide variety of manzanilla, fino, amontillado, oloroso, médium, cream, moscatel and Pedro Ximénez.

In addition, the Páez family is committed to diversification, which is why it produces organic still wines made in Arcos de la Frontero, as well as spirits such as the whisky "El Bocoy de José Páez", the rum "Old Oxford" and the gins "Ethical" and "In 33 F".

The winery's logo is nothing more than the name of the winery itself: "Bodegas Dios Baco".

Interesting facts

Although the inauguration date dates back to 1848, the origin of the winery can be traced back to 1765, when construction began on a building called "Los Doce Apóstoles" (The Twelve Apostles), in reference to the 12 cellars that made up the winery.
