La Chanca is a family business located in Cadiz, Spain, which was founded in 1983. It has 32 years of tradition, a portfolio of 70 products and is present in more than 125 cities, both in Spain and abroad.


Among the most outstanding products we can mention in the salted fish line: mojama or hueva. In smoked products: tuna banderillas with cheese, ijar tuna and sarda and, in canned products, canned frigate tuna and almadraba tuna belly.


It is the only company in this sector that has received the Parque Natural brand certification from the Andalusian Regional Government's Department of the Environment.

The company La Chanca has opted for a space in which it can welcome all visitors who wish to learn about the tradition that revolves around the world of tuna.


A visit that becomes a unique, interesting and fantastic experience in which you can find spaces that simulate the bottom of the oceans, replicas of ruins, sunken ships, almadraba nets until you reach the codend, the place where the tuna is caught.


There are also activities to interact and relive the different tasks carried out by the fishermen of Barbate in the 1950s and, later, to learn about the current production process of the company's products. Before finishing, a demonstration of the cutting of the tuna by a specialist in "Ronqueo" and, to complete this great experience, a tasting of different products made by the company accompanied by a drink.
