Produced by Virgilio Velasco in San Luis del Rio, Tlacolula, Oaxaca, this mezcal is made with Espadín agaves. The pineapples are crushed by a tahona, fermented in cypress tanks, and double distilled in 350-liter copper stills. Picaflor Mezcal is born from a passion for traditions and quality, importing products from small Oaxacan producers to Europe. The name "Picaflor" refers to the hummingbird, which primarily feeds on agave nectar in Oaxaca.
