Why buy Sweet | Fortified Wine Harveys Oloroso

Harveys Oloroso is the brand's most aged Sherry, made from Palomino grapes. An intense and robust premium wine that will satisfy the most demanding Sherry-loving palates.

In its careful elaboration, only 100% palomino grapes have been used, harvested and selected in the vineyard of the Pago de Macharnudo winery, located in Jerez superior. There, the grapes grow under unique climatic conditions, which are reflected in your glass of Harveys Oloroso.

The solera of the Harveys premium wine range, to which this Oloroso belongs, was established in 1918, more than 100 years ago.

Thanks to the quality of the entire production process, which results in a great wine, Harveys Oloroso was recognised with the International Wine Challenge Gold Winner.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

When you have a glass of Harveys Oloroso in front of you, its bright, intense amber colour is striking.

On the nose it has a classic yet elegant aroma, in which the aged essence of this Oloroso can be appreciated. Its toasted and woody notes stand out, reminiscent also of tobacco and dried fruits.

The palate is full-bodied, round and dry. It has a long finish of elegant subtlety.

Pairing. How to taste it

Harveys Oloroso is a perfect complement to accompany your meals, particularly spicy fish and intense meats. It also combines extraordinarily well with semi-cured cheeses. Serve it at a temperature between 12 and 15 ºC to enjoy all its aromas and flavours.

If you like to go a step further, you should know that this Oloroso is magnificent in cocktails, so do not hesitate to discover the cocktail experience offered by Harveys Oloroso. No doubt you will not be indifferent.

A little bit of history about Harveys...

Harvey was born in 1796 in Bristol, when William Perry became a great exporter of Sherry between the city's port and the Bay of Cadiz. Years later, at the end of the 19th century, John Harvey re-founded the company to specialise in the exclusive production of Sherry.

Today, it owns one of the largest vineyards in Jerez, covering 250 hectares. It has ideal climatic conditions for the production of this wine. Moreover, the brand is the only one in Spain that can boast the official seal of The Royal Warrant, which certifies it as a supplier to the British Royal Household.
