Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

Pouring a glass of this Harveys Pedro Ximenez, showing its dark mahogany colour with amber tinges, and how it leaves unctuous tears in the glass, makes us realise that we are in front of a superior wine.

On the nose, it has a deep and voluptuous aroma where the raisined fruits give us a great balance.

On the palate, expectations are exceeded, as the toasted touches, with the balanced mixture of sweetness and other flavours such as acidity, salinity and bitterness, make for a rounded and pleasant drink.

Pairing. How to taste it

Harveys Pedro Ximenez is a wine that should be served chilled, at a temperature of about 10°, in a wine glass.

It is the perfect wine to accompany an aperitif with blue or intense cheeses, such as Cabrales or Roquefort.

It can also be enjoyed after dinner with any dessert, chocolates and cocktails.

A little bit of history about Harveys Pedro Ximénez...

Harvey was born in 1796 in Bristol, when William Perry became a major exporter of Sherry between the city's port and the Bay of Cadiz. Years later, at the end of the 19th century, John Harvey re-founded the company to specialise in the exclusive production of Sherry.

Today, it owns one of the largest vineyards in Jerez, covering 250 hectares. It has ideal climatic conditions for the production of this wine. Furthermore, the brand is the only one in Spain that can boast the official seal of The Royal Warrant, which certifies it as a supplier to the British Royal Household.

Harveys Pedro Ximenez is the 2021 winner of the silver medal at the International Wine Challenge 2021.
