Bodegas Williams & Humbert was born 130 years ago. Its founders participated in the creation of the D.O. Jerez/Xérès/ Brandy, and this winery is known worldwide. It was founded in 1877 by Alexander Williams and Arthur Humbert, the former an admirer of sherry products and the latter specialising in international relations.

In 1979, the José Medina winery joined forces with the multinational Royal Ahold. Little by little they have been growing and acquiring other companies, among which Williams & Humbert stands out, which today gives its name to the family business as a whole.
