Some curiosities surrounding this premium vodka are that it is a favourite of Rolling Stones founder Keith Richards, and James Bond's favourite for his famous Martini.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

The characteristic colour of the vodka is, unsurprisingly, the same crystalline colour as Stolichnaya.

As for the aroma, it surprises us with hints of marshmallow and fruit peel with subtle mineral notes.

It has a sweet, talcum powder and citrus flavours on the entry. The finish is clean with notes of wet straw and pepper.

History of the product

On the one hand, the Sojuzplodoimport company claims that its Soviet specialists created the original recipe in 1938 and that the first bottles were produced in 1941, although large-scale production began two years later.
On the other hand, the Moscow State Wine Warehouse No. 1 claims that it was they who came up with this recipe in 1940 by the distiller Viktor Grigoryevich Svirida, who is considered by many to be the creator of Stolichnaya.
