Why buy Sweet | Fortified Wine La Guita en Rama Saca de Abril 2023

Try La Guita en Rama Saca de Abril 2023, an unfiltered manzanilla, in the purest style.

This manzanilla is a rama saca, which means that it goes straight from the barrels to the bottles, without going through any kind of filtering.

It is a type of dry white wine made in the region of Sanlúcar de Barrameda in southern Spain, which is influenced by the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean and the Guadalquivir River.

The cool, humid climate of this coastal area is ideal for growing the grapes needed to produce this wine, which must be aged in barrels under special conditions due to its ageing process under a veil of flor.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

The fact that it is unfiltered gives it a more intense flavour and aroma, where we notice fresh and saline flavours with almondy tastes.

Pairing. How to taste it

Serve chilled, between 8º and 10º and in a fine crystal glass.

Serve with fish, salads, seafoods.

A little bit of history about La Guita en Rama Saca de Abril 2023...

La Guita is a Spanish wine brand from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, founded in 1852 by Domingo Pérez Marín. Nowadays, it belongs to the Jerez-based winemaking group José Estévez.

It uses grapes from Sanlúcar coastal vineyards, acquired from more than 175 growers of the COVISAN cooperative.

The brand has two important bodegas, one of which is a former 16th century hospital converted into a bodega.

La Guita is aged in this bodega and is the first manzanilla to include a bottling date on its back label. The company focuses on offering high quality products and excellent service.
