History

It all began in 1889 when a master winemaker found some very old butts in a corner of his cellar in Jerez. It was never known where they came from or how long they had been there.

When he tasted their contents, he discovered that the contents were a precious liquid with an exceptional flavour, with which he intended to conquer the world.

Among the numerous awards obtained by the Carlos I brandy house, we can highlight the double gold medal "Best Value" obtained at the CSWA (China Wine & Spirits Awards), or as Brandy Producer at the International Spirits Challenge 2020.

Logo and campaigns

The logo of Charles I represents the King with his horse, which can also be seen in the painting of "The Titian".

Interesting facts

The winemaker who discovered those brandy butts baptised it with the name Carlos I, in homage to the King who appears in the painting of "El Tiziano", and which has become a historical element that accompanies the brand on its bottles.
