History
The Singleton whiskies are made by the Glendullan distillery which was founded in 1897 by William Williams & Sons. Production began in 1898 and in 1972 an expansion was undertaken to add six stills to meet demand. Today, Glendullan produces more whisky than most of the distilleries in the Classic Malt Selection, releasing new editions and making an almost immediate impact with whisky lovers and whisky connoisseurs.
But what makes them so special? There could be many reasons, among which we would highlight the careful selection of all the ingredients with which they are made, such as malted barley grown locally (Speyside) and pure water extracted from the springs of Conval Hill Springs, which when fused together give them a delicious, sweet, fruity and rounded flavour with solid, rich and malty nuances that are achieved after a long and careful distillation process.
Their 12, 15 and 18 year maturation processes achieve layers of flavour that make them pleasant, smooth and balanced, allowing them to be enjoyed with every sip and giving them the balance and character that makes them unique.
