History
The soft drink Coca-Cola was created in John Pemberton's laboratory while searching for a healing remedy for stomach diseases. After the success of selling this remedy, the drink became a success and that's when the company's accountant, Frank Robinson, decided to give it a name and assign it a logo that lasts today.
In 1904, Coca-Cola was advertised for the first time in national magazines and bottling plants were opened in Canada, Cuba and Panama.
To avoid confusion and due to the use of the word "Coke", the company makes an advertisement with one of its usual faces, Sprite Boy, in which it makes clear that Coca-Cola and Coke are two terms that refer to the same product.
In 1955, the first new product of the brand, apart from Coca-Cola, arrived: Fanta Orange. Years later, Sprite would be launched, and in 1963, Tab would be the first sugar-free soft drink, and it would not be until the turn of the century that the company would launch Simply Orange and Coca-Cola Zero.
