Why buy White Wine Botani Moscatel Old Vines

Wine made from 100% Moscatel grapes, which gives it a very personal Malaga flavour.

This grape is harvested in a traditional and manual way. The dry climate, the slate and white quartz soil and the high altitude of around 700 metres give the grape a very characteristic identity which is fully reflected in the result: Botani Moscatel Old Vines, with a sweet taste and character. The grapes grow, are harvested, and follow the entire process until they become wine in Velez-Malaga, which gives it the Designation of Origin of the Sierras de Malaga.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

It has a bright straw colour. The nose is defined by aromas of lychee, stone fruits and white flowers, with citrus and fresh notes. The palate is fruity, balanced, and dry. With a citrus presence and a pleasant finish.

Pairing. How to taste it

Serve chilled, around 6°C. This wine goes very well with dishes such as sushi, risotto or grilled vegetables, but from Yo Pongo El Hielo we recommend that you turn your lunch or dinner into a 100% Malaga experience, with Ajoblanco, espetos de sardinas, Gazpachuelo or coquinas.

A little bit of history about Botani Moscatel Old Vines...

The grape from which this wine is made is Moscatel de Alejandría, very characteristic of the area and also delicious to have just as a fruit. Its origin dates back almost 3000 years, when Phoenician traders began to plant it in the mountains surrounding the city of Malaga, where it is still cultivated.

It's in the Top 40 of economic and cheap products of White Wine and in the Top 2170 of our best seller products.
