Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

Pure gold in colour. On the nose we notice sweet and diverse aromas of peach, pineapple, grapefruit, clove, candied orange, vanilla and mizunara (Japanese oak). The palate is silky and subtle with flavours of coconut, cranberry and butter, ending with a delicious long finish of sweet ginger and cinnamon.

Pairing. How to taste it

From Yo Pongo El Hielo we recommend drinking it neat, "On The Rocks" or, at the most, a few drops of water, in order to enjoy it in all its splendour.

A little bit of history about The Yamazaki 12 Years...

The Yamazaki Distillery was established by Shinjiro Torii in 1923. Through it he intended, using the concept of Traditional Scotch Whisky as his inspiration, to create something totally unique by adding his Japanese approach and the purity of the water of the Katsura, Uji and Kizu rivers. And as much as he dreamed, I don't think he could have ever imagined that the result would be so extraordinary, as it is the best possible.
This is Suntory's first distillery, a leader in quality and distinction in the Japanese whisky market.
