Why buy Gin 1890 Exótica Gin
1890 Exotica Gin is a handcrafted gin, in the manner of traditional gins. But at the last minute, the helmsman changed the course of the ship, adding two top quality botanicals to the resulting product, cinnamon and macerated blackberry, which give the gin that touch that distinguishes it from the rest.
1890 Exótica Gin, together with aniseed, is the star product of the Constantina Distillery. The company that honours the Sevillian municipality has decided to go a step further in its elaborations, successfully entering the field of premium gins with an aphrodisiac liquid within reach of very few in the market.
Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste
A clear, Franconian-shaped glass bottle holds a clear liquid with a slight bluish tinge. Once released from its prison, scents of the botanicals used creep into the nose. Finally, on the palate its flavour is subtle, with a high presence of blackberry and cinnamon, inseparable companions of this Andalusian gin.
Pairing. How to taste it
As for the best way to drink 1890 Exotica Gin, our recommendation is to drink it in a balloon glass, accompanied by 3 or 4 pieces of ice, a slice of orange and a cinnamon stick. Exquisite!
A little bit of history about 1890 Exotica Gin...
It is said that today's gin was born in Holland by an apothecary known as Leiden who added juniper berries to the gin that was consumed at the time, which was of very low quality. Years later, the British Empire became the leading advocate of this concoction with the production of its own type of drink, London Gin, which, in addition to having a base of tasteless alcohol, does not accept sweeteners or colourings. Now, in the 21st century, it is Andalusia that leads the way in the world of gins.
