Why buy Whisky Talisker Port Ruhighe

This Scotch from the remote and incredible Isle of Skye comes with an alcohol content of 45.8 degrees and a unique taste resulting from its double ageing in Port barrels.

It has collected awards wherever it has gone and, as you can see from its tasting note, being different suits it quite well.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

The first thing that catches the eye of Talisker Port Ruhighe is that it is redder than other Scotch, almost coppery.

When served in a glass and left to air, the scents it gives off are complex, with aromas of ripe plums, smoky tones and red fruits. Some bitter chocolate can also be appreciated.

Finally, on the palate it is sweet, smooth and very pleasant -the ageing in Porto barrels is noticeable-, giving rise to a combination of flavours that you know any whisky lover will appreciate. Slightly smoky, it is peaty and has a long finish.

Pairing. How to taste it

In Yo pongo el hielo we think that the best way to taste it is on the rocks, or with a touch of water, so that you can appreciate the nuances that differentiate it from the rest of the whiskies and that raise it above the rest.

A little bit of history about Talisker Port Ruhighe...

The oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye was established in 1830 by the MacAskills brothers. The distillery has changed hands and evolved, but has always maintained its traditional roots and limited production quotas, taking care of every detail in the making of its distillates.

It's in the Top 140 of economic and cheap products of Whisky and in the Top 1530 of our best seller products.
