|Puerto de Indias
Puerto de Indias gin is a Premium gin handcrafted with a careful selection of botanicals and the character offered by distillation in copper stills with more than 130 years.
Puerto de Indias is an Andalusian firm, which has its factory in the Sevillian town of Carmona, and has also become a great exponent of Andalusian products. For this reason, the labels and stoppers of its products are made in Jerez.
Gin Premium Puerto de Indias is a 100% family business that maintains the tradition of distillation in copper stills in a slow distillation process marked by the fire produced with olive wood, a throwback to the distillation processes of yesteryear.
With more than a century of history, deans in the province of Seville and being one of the oldest in Andalusia, they carefully keep the old distillation methods while continuing to innovate in their eagerness to offer their customers products of the highest quality.
When pouring a glass of Puerto de Indias gin, its transparent colour catches the eye. On the nose, it gives off slightly aniseed aromas with notes of the stills in which it is produced and on the palate, it has a full-bodied character with a traditional and pronounced juniper flavour and soft citrus touches.
The premium gin, Puerto de Indias, is so perfectly distilled that it can be enjoyed on the rocks or mixed with other ingredients.
Puerto de Indias, the fashionable gin, has a very curious origin. Its owners, José Antonio and Francisco Rodríguez, came up with the magic formula just over a year ago. Until then, they had only dedicated the distillery to the manufacture of aniseed and liqueurs.
What started out at the beginning of the year with a bottling rate of 5,000 bottles a month has now grown to 80,000 and growing.
The birth of Puerto de Indias is perhaps the most interesting part of the holy grail of Los Alcores de Carmona.
