Why buy Sweet | Fortified Wine La Guita Amontillado en Rama

Taste La Guita Amontillado en Rama, made subtly and patiently.

La Guita Amontillado en Rama has a very distinctive winemaking process.

Amontillado wine is a Spanish wine that is made using a special ageing process that combines biological ageing, similar to that used in manzanilla or fino, and oxidative ageing.

Its production process requires a minimum of 15 years.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

Dry flavour, but at the same time smooth and round in the mouth, with notes of nuts, hazelnuts and toasted almonds. Hints of caramel and spices can also be appreciated, as well as a slight acidity that makes it fresh and balanced. It is a wine with a long and elegant persistence in the mouth, with a long and silky finish.

Pairing. How to taste it

To enjoy La Guita Amontillado wine to the full, we recommend serving it chilled but without overdoing it.

It is ideal for pairing with blue fish, such as tuna, bonito or sardines, salads with a strong dressing, white meats, soups and consommés. Its intense and complex flavour stands out with these dishes.

A little bit of history about La Guita Amontillado en Rama...

José Estévez S.A. is a family business dedicated to the ageing of Sherry and Brandies since 1809. The Estévez family has controlled 100% of the company since 1974 and has given great importance to the ageing of their wines. In 1985, they took control of Bodegas Marqués del Real Tesoro, and in 1989 they merged both companies.

They have also acquired other brands over the years, such as Fino Tío Mateo, A.R. Valdespino and the well-known Manzanilla de Sanlúcar "La Guita". The new wineries are equipped with the most modern technology in the country, making them some of the most sophisticated in the world.
