Whitley Raspberry combines the classic vodka of his distillery, made from Russian wheat and water from his own wells, 160 metres deep. Later in its final stage of production, the vodka undergoes a period of rest in conditioning units to soften the flavour. This rest allows JJ. Whitley gives its vodka a velvety smooth taste.

A little bit of history about J.J. Whitley Raspberry...

The Whitley family has over eight generations of distilling heritage, dating back to 1762. John James Whitley was the managing director of Greenall Whitley & Co Ltd and G&J Greenall Ltd until 1942. His grandmother, Isabella, was the daughter of Edward Greenall, chairman of Greenalls & Co, and son of Greenall's founder, Thomas Greenall.

John James Whitley always wanted to find fine, natural ingredients and was curious about them from an early age. Indeed, in his formative years at Chester Road, he spent days exploring extensive gardens and natural hedgerows in search of wild vegetation. This love of nature would mark his life as a master distiller.

To this day, John's drive for original flavour combinations and unique infusions lives on at the JJ Whitley distillery. It is this same drive that prompted his great-grandson, Johnny Neill, to create the award-winning Whitley Neill Gin brand in 2005 or the twice award-winning J.J. Whitley Raspberry.
