At first sight it is as transparent as most vodkas, but on the nose it has an explosion of watermelon and lime, which combines with the spectacular and subtle flavour it leaves on the palate.

How to taste it. Pairing

To savour this vodka in the best way, we are going to offer you two cocktails designed to get the most out of it:

• The first one is the Watermelon Sugar High, for which we need to add ice to a tall glass, pour 50 ml of J. J. Whitley Watermelon Lime and 50 ml of cranberry juice, top with lemonade and garnish with a slice of cucumber.
• The second one is the Merry Melon, in this case we drop several mint leaves in a large wine glass and fill it with ice, then pour 25 ml of J. J. Whitley Watermelon Lime, 10 ml of elderflower and 10 ml of lime juice, finally, we complete the glass with soda water.

A little history about ...

The history of J. J. Whitley does not begin in the 20th century as many think, but 150 years earlier, when Thomas Greenall founded the company.

Eight generations later, the company is still in the hands of the same family, and has been for eight generations, from its foundation to the present day.

Today, John James Whitley transfers his interest in flavour combinations and infusions to his distillates, so that all his customers can enjoy them while he continues to travel the world in search of perfection on the palate.
