Jorge Ordóñez is the founder of Jorge Ordóñez wine, an internationally renowned brand dedicated to producing high-quality wines with indigenous Spanish grape varieties. Born in Malaga in 1959, Jorge Ordóñez became interested in the world of wine at a young age, thanks to the influence of his father, who was a winemaker. He studied enology at the University of Córdoba and then moved to the United States, where he worked as an importer and distributor of Spanish wines. In 1987, he founded his own company, Jorge Ordóñez Selections, with the aim of promoting the culture and diversity of Spanish wines in the American market. His work was recognized with numerous awards and distinctions, such as the Wine Personality of the Year by Wine Enthusiast magazine in 2004.

In 2004, Jorge Ordóñez decided to create his own winery in Malaga, his homeland, with the purpose of recovering the indigenous grape varieties of the region, such as Moscatel de Alejandría, and producing high-quality wines that express the character and personality of the terroir.
