Why buy Sweet | Fortified Wine Cartojal

Cartojal uses the Muscatel of Alexandria or Malaga grape and the Moorish Muscatel to produce a delicious Natural Sweet Wine that strictly follows the rules of the D. O. Malaga

This wine, produced in the region of La Axarquía and the north of Malaga, is defined by its particular and characteristic taste, which enters easily and freshly and will be the soul of any meeting of friends. However, do not get too carried away with the emotions because thanks to its easy drinking it is very common to finish the bottle in a piss pas and before you have noticed.

Of course we recommend you try it and share it, because we are convinced that at the next meeting, you will repeat.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

The first thing that catches Cartojal's eye is its clean, straw yellow colour that matches its deep pink label, making it very appealing. 

When it is served in a glass and left to air, the smells it gives off are floral, honey and citrus and fresh grapes.

Finally, on the palate it is balanced between sweet and sour, very appetizing.

Pairing. How to taste it

In Yo pongo el hielo we think that the best way to taste it is  cold and in its characteristic shot glass. If possible surrounded by good friends. 

As a second option, if you want to reduce it a bit, try it with 7up, which will enhance its taste but reduce the alcohol, resulting in a very summery combination.

A little bit of history about Cartojal...

Cartojal has been a wine from Malaga that arrived to be consumed mainly in summer. Since its appearance, not so far away, it has done nothing but increase its popularity and brand recognition. If you have been to the Malaga Fair some year, it is impossible not to have come across some of its fans and hats with that characteristic fuchsia pink.
