Different sustainable techniques have been used in its production that have helped to fulfil this commitment, such as respect for wildlife, the use of organic fertilisers or the use of sustainable machinery capable of reducing the amount of gases emitted. 

The mix of these techniques, together with the experience of Ramón Bilbao, results in a more sustainable and high quality product, such as Ramón Bilbao Verdejo Organic.

For its production, 100% Verdejo grapes harvested and selected in the DO Rueda Finca Las Amedias vineyard have been used. This grape is fermented between concrete tanks on its lees and in stainless steel tanks, which in its totality result in a wine of great complexity. It will surprise you!

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

At first sight we are struck by its crystalline yellow colour with greenish reflections.

On the nose it has citrus aromas and notes reminiscent of fresh herbs.

On the palate, Ramón Bilbao Verdejo Organic provides great freshness thanks to its good balance of acidity, giving us a persistent finish with herbaceous notes.

A little bit of history about Ramón Bilbao Organic...

In 2008, Ramón Bilbao became aware of the seriousness of climate change and how it affects wine. An increase of 1.2ºC above the average temperature in the area of its vineyards was detected, which made the winery investigate the climate in depth, alerting the rest of the winery to the need for higher altitude cultivation.

Thanks to its commitment to the environment, in 2017, its vineyards and wineries were awarded the Wineries for Climate Protection certification. Today, Ramón Bilbao is a sustainable winery that promotes recycling and is proud to use 90% renewable energy.
