Why buy Sweet | Fortified Wine Fino Quinta

Fino Quinta is a traditional and well-balanced fino sherry wine produced by the Osborne winery, which is probably the most popular in the country and internationally known.

It is inevitable that when you hear Osborne you don't think of Bertín, the singer, but the latter is probably the winery's legendary billboard, which adorns numerous landscapes all over Spain.

Bodegas Osborne is synonymous with quality, and Fino Quinta was not going to be less. This fino with Denomination of Origin Jerez has been awarded the Bacchus de Oro in the Bacchus wine competition, which is carried out by the Spanish Tasters Union, a wine that does not fail!

In its elaboration, the classic Criaderas and Soleras system has been applied. This fino is aged in American oak casks, and is made in the Osborne winery in Puerto de Santa María with selected 100% palomino grapes. The grapes are treated with the utmost care and transported in boxes to avoid breakage.

The grapes are gently pressed and the must is racked for an average of 12 hours. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 25ºC, always supervised by experts. The winemaking process is meticulous down to the smallest detail.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

When you have a glass of Fino Quinta in front of you, its brightness and pale yellow colour stand out.

Its aroma is sharp and smooth, with saline nuances and almond notes.
In the mouth it feels dry and sharp at the same time, with a fresh acid and bitter touch, you'll want to take another sip of it!

Pairing. How to taste it

Fino Quinta, being a fine wine, has the extraordinary capacity to open your taste buds, which makes it ideal for pairing with a good Iberian ham, olives, cured cheese or almonds. It is also the alternative to white wine to accompany your fish and seafood dishes.

A little bit of history about Bodegas Osborne...

Bodegas Osborne was founded in 1772, when at the end of the 18th century, an English merchant called Thomas Osborne Mann arrived in Cádiz to work with local wines. Soon after, he began to do business, and it was in Puerto de Santa María, the place he frequented most, where he acquired some wineries, which he would later group together under the common name of Osborne.

Today, almost 250 years later, it is a very famous and world-renowned brand. Part of the merit of this great recognition, in addition to the good work and quality of Osborne products, is its famous billboard that has decorated Spanish landscapes since 1957, when the first billboard was placed in Madrid, which was made of wood.

It was in 1961 that it was made of sheet metal with a height of 7 metres, to cope with the weather conditions. Today they are 14 metres high and the winery has a total of 92 fences throughout Spain. As if that were not enough, the winery has fences in countries such as Denmark, Mexico and Japan.
