Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste
We are talking about a wine of a dark bronze color with a light golden edge.
In the nose, notes of nuts and very spicy smoked wood are perceived.
As for the taste in the mouth it can remind us of nuts and dark chocolate, with a long, intense and balanced finish in a supreme way with a slight acidity.
Pairing. How to taste it
The perfect pairing for this Oloroso wine is a serving temperature of between 13°C and 14°C, and can be accompanied by both a good old cheese and red meat, for example, oxtail or Iberian cheek, also accompanies a good luxury grilled bluefin tuna.
A little bit of history about Lustau Oloroso Don Nuño...
The winery where Lustau Oloroso Don Nuño was born was founded in 1896 by Don José Ruiz-Berdejo. At first, the cultivation of the vines was carried out on the Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza de Don José estate itself, and there, in the estate's own house, he aged the wines for later export.
In 1931 and after the acquisition of his daughter María Ruiz-Berdejo Alberti from a winery in the Callejón de Asta, they moved to Jerez de la Frontera and later in the 40's they moved the winery back to the old town of Jerez de la Frontera, to some buildings where they slowly expanded their business with María's husband, Don Emilio Lustau Ortega, at the helm.
It was in the 80's, under the direction of Rafael Balao, when the company became one of the most innovative in Jerez de la Frontera by, among other things, introducing a new elegant and exclusive bottle to distinguish itself from the local competition.
It's in the Top 40 of economic and cheap products of Sweet | Fortified Wine and in the Top 1690 of our best seller products.
