Why buy Red Wine Tapestry Reserve Red Blend

The art of blending five different grapes from the Bordeaux region's heritage comes together in each bottle of Tapestry Reserve Red Blen.

These grapes are: Cabernet Sauvignon to give it a generous expressive core, Merlot to dominate the tannins, Malbec with its plummy notes, and Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot to give it nuances of toast, forest loam and graphite.

In March 2021 the wine critic gave it a score of 93 out of 100 adding that "it is another superb wine in this range".

While in June 2021 it received a 94 out of 100 when the well-known wine critic James Suckling published in his magazine the following: "[...] Full and flavoursome, but not heavy in any sense of the word. [...]"

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

In addition to the aforementioned characteristics provided by each of the five grapes used in its production, we notice the integration of mocha and molasses to keep our senses on edge, thanks to the ageing in French oak barrels.

Structure and depth to ensure that this wine will be up to the task is what the firm, velvety tannins give us, for an ideal bridge between tradition and innovation.

How to taste it. Pairing

According to a number of wine experts, this wine goes very well with dishes based on veal, lamb, game such as deer or venison, and with some poultry.

A little history about ...

The history of this range begins in 1990 with a broad French heritage and an ever-present nod to the world-renowned blends between Bordeaux and Clarets.

On a daily basis, the winery's employees search for specific vineyard blocks to find the highest quality grapes to achieve the desired expression of terroir and accessible round tannins.

The five grapes used in the winemaking come from different parts of the world: Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford and Calistoga, Oakville and Coombsville, Merlot from Carneros and Rutherford Bench, Petit Verdot and Malbec from Rutherford and Cabernet Franc from Howell Mountain.
