History about 1800 Silver

The first manufacturer of tequila was José Antonio Cuervo in 1758, although shortly thereafter the production of tequila was prohibited until King Carlos IV lifted that prohibition. The year 1800 is known as the year in which tequila was first successfully aged, hence the name of this tequila.

This brand of tequila is owned by the Beckmann family, and is bottled in the Mexican city of Jalisco.

It was not until the 21st century when 1800 Silver tequila was launched on the market, that it began to be distributed worldwide. In the United States, the brand is distributed by the Proximo Spirits group, also owned by the Beckmann family.

This brand has sponsorship contracts with two of the most important NBA teams, the Los Angeles Lakers since 2009 and the New York Knicks since 2010, this includes advertising on their respective websites, promotional activities throughout the NBA season, and placing ads in their respective stadiums, the Staples Center and Madison Square Garden.
