Why buy Whisky Penderyn Legend

This is the first whisky to be made in Wales after more than 100 years in which not a drop of this distillate was produced in the country. At least when it was reintroduced in 2004, great whiskies like this one have been released.

Penderyn Legend is aged in bourbon casks and then transferred to ex-Madeira casks to produce a rich, harmonious malt whisky with subtle character and golden tones.

Numerous awards recognise the quality of this fantastic whisky, including:

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

This whisky has a light amber colour.

The smell that leaves Penderyn Legend is reminiscent of fresh apples, citrus and sultanas and create a complex but very balanced whisky.

It is a whisky with a very smooth and fruity flavour. It is delicate and sweet on the palate with a finish of Madeira cake and sultanas.

A little bit of history about Penderyn Legend...

After being brewed for several centuries, production stopped in 1894. A century later, the Welsh Whiskey Company set out to make up for lost time by producing the only whisky still produced in Wales today.

The company was founded in 2000 in Wales, after more than a century without production in the Welsh town, this return to production was resumed under the name of the town where it happened, Penderyn.

It has been on the market since 2004 and may be the only Welsh whisky maker with a copper pot still distillate to obtain a very high proof distillate with a single distillation.
