Why buy Whisky Antiquary 21 Years

From the Scottish Highlands comes this malt whisky with more than 150 years of history. A premium whisky with 21 years of ageing for exquisite palates.

The story of this whisky is a curious one, as is probably that of many others that started out around the same time. A Scottish landowner began producing it illegally, until he was granted a licence in 1897. A licence was deservedly granted, given the quality that the product exudes in every drop.

The brand has not done badly since then, becoming one of the largest producers of single malt Scotch, and even topping the podium during the 1970s.

We have before us a strong representative of their style, which, aided by its 21 years in oak casks, can look any of the similar products of the competition in the face.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

The first thing that strikes you about Antiquary 21 Years Old is its golden, amber colour.

When poured into the glass and allowed to aerate, the aromas are intense, with malt, peat and wood standing out.

Finally, in the mouth it is exquisite, moderately complex and smooth, fresh. It has a long and refined aftertaste.

Pairing. How to taste it

From Yo pongo el hielo we recommend trying it on the rocks, or, if you prefer, with a little water to expand its aromas and flavours.

A little bit of history about Antiquary 21 Years...

Walter Scott is a Scottish writer considered the father of the historical novel. Why are we telling you this? Because this great whisky owes its name to one of his novels, specifically the third and his favourite: The Antiquary.

In it, the protagonist is a historian and collector, the perfect inspiration for a whisky with a lot of history and worthy of appearing in any collection.

It's in the Top 180 of economic and cheap products of Whisky and in the Top 2070 of our best seller products.
