Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

Intense mahogany colour with amber highlights, clean and bright.
The aromatic sensation is spectacular, very complex and deep. We can perceive tones of antique furniture, cedar, lacquer, varnish, woodwork... A great concentration where we can perfectly appreciate its characteristic ageing.
In the mouth it is forceful, very dry, direct, deep and wild. With an imposing, resounding finish, showing us a perfect balance between acidity and ageing, with iodised notes, brine, cocoa and caramel. It leaves a dreamy aftertaste where balsamic and roasted sensations coexist with salty and bitter hints that make this wine a wine of legend.

A little bit of history about Tio Pepe Cuatro Palmas...

"Cuatro Palmas" refers to the sign made by the master winemaker, Antonio Flores, on the selected butts to differentiate them from those of the same age. Those selected are distinguished from the rest because they have a special finesse, delicacy and intensity. We can see a replica of this sign on the back label of the bottle, next to its description.
In this very special Palmas run, Tio Pepe has released its best finos whose degrees of age can be measured in the number of palmas.
