The beginnings of the history of Flor de Caña rum date back to 1890, when a young man of Italian origin had the fantastic idea of building a distillery at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano, the highest and most active in Nicaragua. Incredibly, 130 years have passed and five generations later, the whole process of making this exquisite rum continues under the custody of the same family, who have always been concerned with achieving and preserving excellence in their rums.
