Why buy Red Wine Vatan

A wine with Designation of Origin Toro, that's right, from the place where the best wines of medieval Spain were produced. Furthermore, the Vatan wine comes from the famous Los Quemaos vineyards, located near the Vatan tributary of the Duero River.

Without a doubt, we are dealing with a wine of supreme quality with a strong character and personality because its vineyards have been planted since 1900, carefully selected in soils and microclimates with unique conditions.

To top it off, its perfect crafting culminates with 22 months of aging in the finest French oak barrels.

Indeed, as Alfonso IX once said, "I have a Toro that gives me wine and a Lion that owes it to me."

Tasting Notes: Sight, Smell, and Taste

Just by its color, we can appreciate that we are dealing with a quality wine, as Vatan presents an intense cherry red hue.

In the olfactory phase, this wine surprises us with a complex and potent aroma. In its bouquet, notes of ripe red fruits, spices that provide an intriguing touch, captivating licorice, enriching cocoa, and roasted nuances that complete this sensory spectrum are revealed.

When tasting it, we encounter a wine with generous amplitude and exceptional balance on the palate. The vigorous acidity brings freshness, while the mature and enveloping tannins, like velvet, provide a smooth and rounded sensation. This wine leaves a lasting and gratifying impression on the palate.

How to Enjoy It: Pairing

Vatan Wine offers unique versatility in pairing, standing out for its affinity with red meats, roasts, game dishes, aged cheeses, and delicious legume dishes.

To fully appreciate its character, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius, and decant it for at least thirty minutes before enjoying it, allowing it to oxidize and reveal all its nuances and flavors in their splendor.

A Bit of History About Vatan...

The Designation of Origin (DO) Toro, in Castilla y León, Spain, stands out for its high-quality red wines, primarily made from the Tinta de Toro variety (a local strain of Tempranillo). With a continental climate and clay and pebble soils, they produce powerful, concentrated wines with fruity flavors, ideal for roasted meats and cheeses. Prominent wineries like Numanthia and Pintia are well-regarded.

It's in the Top 150 of economic and cheap products of Red Wine and in the Top 3310 of our best seller products.
