Why buy Gin Rives El Alambique 5 Generaciones

Its intention is to make a tribute to the copper still, one of its main treasures for which a bottle has been designed in which the shape of the still can be appreciated.

This gin, in addition to its spectacular bottle, also stands out for the high quality of the liquid contained in it. For this, the Rives Group has used the mandarin as a citrus fruit with which to give it subtle sweet and refreshing notes, in order to find a Premium gin different from any we can find on the market.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

At first glance we notice that Rives El Alambique gin shows a transparent and bright color.

On the nose we speak of a gin in which two fruity notes predominate: firstly, fresh and subtle notes of mandarin, and secondly, fresh notes of juniper.

As for its taste, it has a sweet entry that omits alcoholic notes, to give us a fresh taste of citrus notes reminiscent of tangerine. The end of this gin is a final with notes of juniper and spices.

Pairing. How to taste it

The best way to taste this fantastic gin, is in the world-wide known gin tonic, for it, we put abundant ice in a glass of ball and we frosted the glass, we flavored with twist of lemon and orange and we added 5 cl of Rives El Alambique, after this, we added the tonic using the mixing spoon and, to the taste, we decorated with small balls of juniper.

A little bit of history about Rives El Alambique 5 Generaciones...

The origin of the Rives company dates back to 1880 when the German Consul in Malaga, Augusto Haupold, made this company one of the pioneers in the production of Sherry wine and brandy. In 1965 his grandson, Augusto Romero Haupold, took over the company as this was his grandfather's wish.

In 1976, the company's installations were modernized and, only two years later, they moved to the El Palmar Industrial Estate with a new distillery.

Nowadays, the company is situated as the first national brand, and maintains the leadership in most of the wide range of drinks that they present to the market, where they offer liquors, spirits, but also non-alcoholic products.
