A Bit of History About Bankhall Single Malt...
Bankhall Whisky, a brand rooted in Liverpool, has a fascinating history. The original distillery, founded in 1790, was one of the leading English whisky producers. However, it closed between the world wars. In 2018, a new Bankhall emerged in Blackpool, backed by Halewood Artisanal Spirits. Their focus was not to recreate the past but to offer something different in the English whisky scene. Vince Oleson, former distiller of Widow Jane in New York, led the project. The initial creations included a bourbon-inspired aged spirit and a rye-based expression. In 2023, the Bankhall Single Malt Cask Strength – First Release arrived, featuring some of the first distillations made in March 2020.
