A Bit of History About Macallan Quest...

The narrative of Macallan begins in 1824, when Alexander Reid, a teacher and farmer, obtained one of the first legal licenses. The distillery, near Easter Elchies House in Craigellachie, Speyside, used to exclusively mature in sherry casks from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Since 2004, they introduced the Fine Oak series, maturing the whisky in casks that previously held bourbon in addition to sherry.

Macallan Quest is part of the Quest collection, launched exclusively for travel retail. This whisky pays homage to Macallan's journey of over 32,000 km in search of the finest oak barrels from Jerez.
