Legendario 9550 Vodka is a vodka crafted artisanally, and mind you, not in Russia, but in Cuba. Its name, 9550, represents the distance in km from Cuba to Moscow, the Capital of Russia.

The history of the Legendario brand is closely linked to the island of Cuba. In 1919, some lands were acquired by the American company "Cuban Alcohol Refining Company." On September 30th of that same year, the Santa Cruz Distillery was inaugurated with the purpose of establishing a factory for spirits and liquors. In 1937, the distillery became the property of the Cuban Company of Industrial Alcohol and Distillery S.A., and in the 1940s, it began launching new beverage brands under the motto "From producer to consumer." This is how the Legendario rum brand was born in 1946.

In 1998, the Valencian company CEXVAL (Comercio Exterior Valenciano S.A.) showed interest in the Legendario rums and acquired the brand rights of Ron Legendario, obtaining exclusivity for its commercialization in Spain and the rest of the world.
