Why buy Gin Puerto de Indias Special Edition Fiestas del Pilar
Exclusive Product. You won't find it anywhere else.
Puerto de Indias Special Edition Fiestas del Pilar is a handcrafted Gin made with a careful selection of botanicals and Andalusian strawberries from the province of Huelva that pays tribute to the celebrations of Fiestas del Pilar. A special and limited edition.
Puerto de Indias Special Edition Fiestas del Pilar is a fruity gin crafted in Seville using copper stills that are over 130 years old, in a slow distillation process marked by the fire produced with olive wood, harking back to traditional distillation methods.
Tasting Notes. Sight, Smell, and Taste
When served, Puerto de Indias Special Edition Fiestas del Pilar captivates the eye with its bright light pink color. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of strawberry and juniper adorned with subtle citrus notes. On the palate, it is less bitter in taste with citrus hints alongside Andalusian strawberries and juniper berries, smooth and sweet, offering new sensations.
How to Enjoy It. Pairing
From Yo pongo el Hielo, we recommend preparing a Puerto & Tonic: fill your glass with ice and place several slices of fresh strawberry inside your glass, add the gin, and pour premium tonic water while gently stirring with a spoon. Ready to enjoy!
A Bit of History About Puerto de Indias Strawberry...
Puerto de Indias Special Edition Fiestas del Pilar pays homage to the celebrations of Fiestas del Pilar with this special and limited edition.
According to legend, in one of the early mornings of the 40th century A.D., Apostle James, while still alive, was preaching on the banks of the Ebro River, in what is now Zaragoza.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, was still alive at that time and played a special role in the spread of Christianity in its early days.
The Virgin Mary was not physically present in Zaragoza at that moment but appeared in a supernatural vision to Apostle James, who was striving for the conversion of the region.
The tradition tells that the Virgin Mary appeared atop a pillar of marble and handed the apostle a small wooden statue of herself.
This event marked a milestone in the spread of Christianity in the region, and the marble pillar became a sacred symbol.
This statue of the Virgin, known as the Virgin of the Pillar, is considered the first Marian apparition in history and became the patron saint of Zaragoza.
