Why buy Cava | Champagne | Sparkling Botani Sparkling Muscat
First sparkling wine with Designation of Origin Sierras de Málaga.
Made with Muscat grapes harvested in a traditional and manual way. The dry climate, the slate and white quartz soil, and the high altitude of around 700 metres give the grape a very characteristic identity, which is perfectly culminated by fermentation following the Charmat method, the most used method for sparkling wines. This blend is fully reflected in an incredibly special result: Botani Sparkling Muscat. The grapes grow, are harvested, and follow the entire process until they become wine in the Valley of Los Lagares, Almáchar, Malaga, which gives it the Denomination of Origin of the Sierras de Malaga.
Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste
Bright and vibrant straw colour. On the nose it awakens wonderful floral aromas and a freshness of tropical fruits. On the palate it is balanced, sweet and acidic at the same time, as the Muscat grape is clearly noticeable, and with the wonderful refreshing and effervescent sensation of a good sparkling wine thanks to its fine and elegant bubbles.
Pairing. How to taste it
Serve chilled, between 4 and 6°C. This sparkling wine is perfect as an aperitif or to end a meal or meeting on a high note. It also pairs very well with fish and seafood.
A little bit of history about Botani Sparkling Muscat...
On the label of the bottle, we can see a Biznaga, one of the greatest symbols of Malaga. The biznaga is a handmade product made by inserting jasmine flowers into a nerdo stem, in Arabic it means "gift from God" and, especially in summer, we can see how nice gentlemen dressed in a typical costume consisting of white shirt, red sash and black trousers, perfume the streets of Malaga carrying, offering, and selling these wonders. In addition to its pleasant smell and its special white colour, the jasmine is also said to ward off mosquitoes.
The biznaga is a symbol of tradition, craftsmanship and the smell of Malaga, just as Botani Sparkling Muscat is a symbol of tradition, craftsmanship and the taste of Malaga.
