In the Vega Sicilia estate, its vineyards are distributed in different plots where the soil of each one of them has different characteristics, due to the influence of the Duero river and the severe climate passing the time through them, giving a land with magical characteristics.

Vega Sicilia Único is made with 94% Tinto Fino grapes and 6% Cabernet-Sauvignon, with an ageing process between wood and bottle of 10 years, in new and used French and American wood barrels, being long processes for a wine considered one of the most important in Spain and being a reference in D.O Ribera del Duero in the world.

A little bit of history about Vega Sicilia Único...

Vega Sicilia is probably Spain's most renowned winery in the world. Eloy Lecanda founded it in 1864 and, during almost 150 years of history, the winery has been changing owners, but always maintaining its own personality in its wines: concentrated, generous and very elegant.

Currently Vega Sicilia belongs to the Álvarez Mezquíriz family since 1982, seeking to be at the forefront with the latest innovations in the processes of cultivation and winemaking and expanding the area of vineyards, a history of illusion and commitment, a way of understanding life.

The extension of the Vega Sicilia vineyards is located in Valbuena de Duero (Valladolid) along the course of the river and with 250 hectares of vineyards. The bodega's grape variety is Tempranillo de la Ribera or Tinto Fino, an autochthonous grape variety. In addition, Merlot, Cabernet Vignosaun and Malbec are grown.
