A little bit of history about Moretti Premium Lager...

Moretti beer has been brewed since 1859 in Udine, in north-eastern Italy, when this region still belonged to the Austrian Empire. Since then, its recipe has changed very little, with the intention of remaining faithful to its origins, which have given it the privilege of being a legendary beer in Italy and of spreading all over the world.
It owes its name to its founder, Luigi Moretti, but the man in the logo is not him but "Il Baffo", Italian for "the moustache". Legend has it that in 1942 Lao Menazzi Moretti found this man sitting in a trattoria, enjoying this beer, and offered him the honour of being the image of the brand, as he believed he represented the values and flavour of the beer. Be that as it may, this moustachioed gentleman drinking beer is now the history of Italy and of beer in general.
