Under the guidance of the world's most experienced Master Distiller, Desmond Payne, Beefeater continues to make its gin according to founder James Burrough's original recipe with nine natural extracts, to continue to claim the title of the world's most awarded gin according to the 2004 and 2019 International Spirits Awards.

The nine botanicals present in this gin are: juniper, lemon peel, Seville orange peel, almond, angelica root, coriander seed, angelica seed, lily root and liquorice root.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

The first thing we see is a transparent and crystalline color, after this, we perceive some citric notes of orange and juniper along with some earthy notes that provides the angelica root, lily root and licorice.

In the mouth, spicy and citrus notes are very evident, but with the intention of the well marked juniper.

The finish of Beefeater London Dry Gin is medium and focused on sweet citrus and light spices.

Pairing. How to taste it

The most acclaimed cocktail under the influence of Beefeater London Dry Gin is the well-known Gin & Tonic, which is made as follows:

- In a ball glass, add 50 milliliters of Beefeater London Dry Gin and fill half of the glass with tonic. Add ice without fear to the glass.

- Put a slice of lemon and a slice of orange in the ballon glass.

- Finish filling the glass with tonic, mix everything and enjoy!

In addition, there are many other cocktails based on this wonderful gin, such as: pomegranate negroni, fresh Martini, tropic tom collins...

A little bit of history about Beefeater 2 Bottles + Christmas Ugly Sweater...

James Burrough returned to London in 1863 after training as a pharmacist in Canada and bought the Chelsea Distillery on Cale Street for 400 GBP, which would be Beefeater's first home since 1876. One of his first and main clients was the prestigious Fortnum & Mason store.

In 1908, production moved to Hutton Road in Lambeth, to a distillery named after Cale Street to maintain the heritage of its predecessor. This would not be the company's last move, as in 1958 it moved to its current location in Kennington, where the Haywards Military Pickle factory had previously been based.

In 1987 it became part of the Whitbread family after almost 100 years under the Burrough family, although today and since 2005, the owner of the brand is Pernod Ricard after programming a reinvestment in the brand.

In the 21st century, the brand has launched several new products on the market, such as Beefeater 24 in 2008 with the contribution of Master Distiller Desmond Payne, 268 liters of exclusive Beefeater Burrough's Reserve in 2013, or the London Garden in 2015 as an herbal expression of Beefeater London Dry.
