Why buy Fruit Spirit Barbero Amaretto

Barbero: the perfect amaretto spirit from Italy with a market value of over 90%.

It is made from almonds and apricot kernels, and is easily recognizable thanks to its bottle, which was designed by a glass artisan in Murano, and became a symbol of this liquor.

The ingredients of Barbero Amaretto are sugar, alcohol, herbal infusion, flavours and caramel. It is recommended to keep it in a cool and dry place.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

Amaretto has a classic brown amber color with bright red highlights.

The aroma is intense, deep, persistent and sweet with the background smell of bitter almonds.

It is a soft and pleasant liquor to drink in spite of its high percentage of alcohol, which ranges from 20% to 30%, since its assembly is perfect and the flavor of vanilla and bitter almond predominates.

Pairing. How to taste it

Taking it in the traditional way would be with ice and a slice of orange, but this liquor is also oriented to drink it alone, "on the rocks" or to use it when making desserts or even cocktails.

Some cocktails that can be made with our Amaretto Barber are

  • French connection: 3,5 cl of cognac and 3,5 cl of disaronno
  • Godfather: 3.5 cl Scotch whisky and 2.5 cl disaronno
  • Godmother: 3.5 cl vodka and 3.5 cl disaronno

A little bit of history about Barbero Amaretto...

The origin of the Italian liquor amaretto dates back to the sixteenth century in the town of Saronno near Milan, which gives the name to the drink, also known as apricot in some countries, as it is one of its main ingredients along with almonds and the essence of seventeen plants and aromatic fruits.

At the beginning of this liqueur, it was very common for families to make their own homemade liqueur, which is why the recipes for amaretto were kept secret for generations, and it was not until many years later that several of them began to come to light.

Today it is one of the most popular Italian products outside the country's borders, so popular that the name is not even translated outside Italy and remains unchanged in all languages.

It's in the Top 20 of economic and cheap products of Fruit Spirit and in the Top 1160 of our best seller products.
