Why buy Cider Magners Dark Fruit

In life you have to take risks, and that's what those responsible for the Irish brand thought when it came to adding more products to a catalogue featuring apple and pear ciders. To innovate and surprise the palate they decided to approach the darker, more sensual and tempting side of the fruit

Thus, after several tests, blackcurrants and candied berries were the winners and responsible for heading the ingredients of Magners Dark Fruit, a cider that is made by collecting and washing the best products to then press them, obtain the juice and carry out various fermentations until its flavor is optimal for consumption.

If we talk about cider, surely two images will come to mind at the moment, almost without time to think: Asturias and apple. The Spanish region is the queen of this type of drink, exporting its products all over the world and adding professional pourers day after day. And just as the common thing is to link cider with Asturias, so is it with apple, the product from which the vast majority of ciders start. However, the great majority does not mean the totality, as shown by one of the best Irish ciders made with dark fruit: Magners Dark Fruit.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

A 40 cl. tin is in charge of keeping in the dark the precious treasure of the Irish company, a perfect container to keep its properties. Once poured into a glass, Magners Dark Fruit shows a red colour, with a medium and pinkish foam from which sweet aromas ascend to currants and berries. Finally, it is sweet and intense in the mouth, with a strong presence of the dark fruits that compose it.

How to taste it. Marriage

As for the best way to taste the Magners Dark Fruit cider, from I put the ice we recommend doing it alone, in a wide glass of cider, and at a temperature of between 3 and 6 degrees so that it acts refreshingly on the palate. With regard to its pairing, we bet on a sweet accompaniment, such as a torrija with yoghurt ice cream. Do you dare to try it?

More than 80 years maintaining quality

It all began in 1935, when an individual by the name of William Magner made the decision of his life: to make cider. Located in the southeast of Ireland, in the small town of Clonmel, his first steps were a success, so much so that in 1937 he arrives at a commercial alliance with the English cider maker H. P. Bulmer and Co and begins to market his cider under that name, until today it is part of the conglomerate C&C Group marketing its cider to the world under the name of Magners.

It's in the Top 10 of economic and cheap products of Cider and in the Top 340 of our best seller products.
