A little bit of history about The Chita Single Grain Suntory...

In 1923, Mr. Shinjiro Torii imagined a whisky that encompassed the essence of Japanese nature and handcrafted by artisans with a process that enhanced that natural essence. This fantastic dream was captured in a subtle but complex whisky, adapted to the Japanese palate.

As it could not be otherwise, Shinjiro Torii was inspired by the traditional Scottish whisky, to create a Japanese version conceived in a land and climate very different from the Scottish one. It was the region of Yamazaki, where the birth of Japanese whiskey occurred.
