If you like whisky, you have probably heard about Japanese whiskies and how they are gaining ground in all spirit contests and in the tastes of the most exquisite palates. Nikka Single Malt Miyagikyo Apple Brandy Wood Finish is a good example of why.
This limited edition commemorates the 100th anniversary of the marriage of Nikka's founder Masataka Taketsuru to Rita Cowan. Obviously, such an event will not be celebrated with just any product, but rather with a whisky finished in apple brandy casks, which gives the whisky a smoothness in the drink and an exceptional finish. We are therefore faced with a delicious whiskey.
The first thing that catches the eye of Nikka Single Malt Miyagikyo Apple Brandy Wood Finish is its light golden colour with greenish reflections.
When served in a glass and left to air, the aromas it gives off are complex and select. Subtle blends of fruit, vanilla, honey and herbal notes. Also apple, ginger and cinnamon.
Finally, the palate is very soft and lively. The malty taste stands out and as it advances in the mouth it becomes more and more complex, gaining power its exotic notes.
In Yo pongo el hielo we think that the best way to taste it is alone or "On the rocks", with a little ice that makes its floral notes even more vibrant. Forbidden (that is to say) combined.
As we mentioned above, this whisky is a reference to commemorate a very special date, so the winery was devoted to its production and development. This single malt is an experience that any whisky lover should try.
Nikka Single Malt Miyagikyo Apple Brandy Wood Finish is a fantastic Japanese Whiskey of Premium class with an alcoholic volume of 47% from Japan, without doubts, one of the gratest reference from the category Whisky.
