A little bit of history about Château de Berne La Grande Cuvee Rosé...

La Grande Cuvée Rosé is a wine that tries to capture the flavours of the oldest Grenache Noir grapes from the Plateau de Bern site.

The combination of Grenache Noir and chalky soil works perfectly, and the winemaking practices strive to present power, freshness and a lime-like structure on the palate.

Harvesting takes place overnight and the grapes are quickly transported to the winery for several hours of maceration in closed presses. It is then immediately stabilised for a period of two weeks, blended daily to promote the release of the grape aromatics and provide unrivalled smoothness in the mouth. Fermentation takes place for 5 months in oak and acacia barrels. The final result is obtained by blending Cuban and oak wines.

This wine offers subtle tannins that highlight the structure of the Grenache on the palate and ensure a pleasant ageing potential.
