History of the product

He was eleven years old when Andrés Bermúdez Bueno was helping his father in his professional work as an electromechanical technician and his good work helped him to be noticed and hired by the company Cafés Trueba Pardo, one of the companies his father served.

In 1989 all the workers of the company where Andrés worked were affected by the owners' decision to sell the company, so they were fired and compensated after the sale operation.

What Andres put together with the severance pay, the commission for the sale of the machinery and a loan he requested, was an amount that he used to set up his own company in the Seville town of Alcalá de Guadaíra. After two years of settlement and preparation of the company, at the end of 1991, the company AB Café began to be commercialized.

Today there are around 35 workers who make up the staff of the Sevillian group of Coffee SL working at a rate of 250 tons of coffee per year between the three companies that make up the group: AB Café, Café Santa Cruz and Café INSIGNIA.
