The history of Terry began in 1783 with Don Santiago José de Terry y Buset, the forerunner of the business, together with his son who succeeded him in 1865.

At the beginning of the 19th century, Terry 1900 was established, from which the Solera Reserva brandy was produced and is still marketed today.

As a curious detail, it is known that it was Fernando de Terry's wife who had the idea of covering the Brandy bottles with yellow netting, inspired by the fisherwomen of El Puerto de Santa María, where the company's cellar was located.
