Dark gold in colour. The nose is surprised by fresh aromas of ripe pear, dried mint, oregano and a touch of smoke. The palate will enjoy sweet flavours of jasmine, mango, quince and menthol with a long, smoky and slightly bitter finish.

Built in 1973, Hakushu Distillery has the distinction of being the highest operating distillery in Japan, standing more than 600 metres above sea level. It is located in the heart of a lush forest on Mount Kaikomagatake, part of the Southern Japanese Alps. Its architecture combines Japanese tradition and modernity in a spectacular way. All this and more forges a unique setting that is reflected in every sip of its whiskies.
